  1. Posibilty of setting the paper thickness allready in dieline creator

When creating a new dieline, the board thickness should be possible to set, so that the file created takes the board thickness into account, so that the fold at e.g. the lid, does actually go 1 x board-thickness higher, than the dustflap, to make it possible to close the box.
The thicker paper/board or corrugated, the bigger an issue.

    • Adjust paper thickness in templates and allow saving of created templates

When choosing a existing template, make adjustment for paper thickness. Also a library with created templates, where you can save, import or edit templates.

      • Look at your tuck-flap closures - they are incorrect in all instances.

Your tuck flap closures are incorrect in all instances - instead of being a dead split along the lid, they should angle across and then up to capture the slits in the tuck flap (which is also incorrect, should be inset by the width of the card)

        • gap detection

it Would be vry good if in Origami, it could be indicated where a gap exists in a box design... i Receive die cut designs from our manufacturers in china every day and though i have been partially succesful in instructing them to create origami -ready die cuts, many times, when testing their designs,it turns out that the outline isn't completely closed and it takes me forever to check the illustrator file for these gaps.

          • Posibility of "for machine packaging" in dieline creator

The current dieline creator can make boxes for manual packaging. For machine packaging a small slit is needed along the lid and the dust panels, for better manoeuvring in the packaging machines.
Therefore this option should be available, so that the system can create files that are also usable for productions that are to be packed on machines.

            • Cut & fold inks

Since imported inside ILLUSTRATOR CAD files usually have their own inks linked to cut/fold-lines, it could be really useful the ability to use those existing inks in ORIGAMI instead of straight and dashed lines.

Origami would be incredible if it worked with InDesign also.

                  • A User-tip for objects that can be folded in different ways

I have made a habit of grouping my folding-lines in illustrator. Origami allows this.
Now, I had a display box that could be folded in different ways: one packaging version and a presentation version. What I did was duplicate the Folding lines group and then change the folding lines folding angle for each version. by toggling visibility of these groups and then refreshing the Origami view, I could quickly see how my artwork looked in the two orientations in 3D
Of course I have added another layer containing my finished Artwork, positioned correctly on the Die-Cut in illustrator
                    An awesome…

                      • ability to define bottom edge

I'd like to be able to select an edge as the bottom instead of placing a box on a panel. In my case I'm trying to design a sleeve and there is no bottom. To get around it I currently create a very small bottom edge and adjust my dueling accordingly but this is a bad hack at best.

I feel your pain, but so far we see no way of simple and effective way of doing that. Suggestions are welcome.

We can’t mark bottom with an edge, as shape may rotate around the edge, so the angle to the floor cannot be defined that way.

Origami Affinity Designer plugin or/and Origami standalone, as Affinity is close to a Windows version, or a stand alone that don't rely on Illustrator.
                          Thank you.

We all know, that rigid boxes, almost regardless of any material are never a perfectly shaped 3d objects, their sides/faces are very often slightly distorted, so it would be very nice to have a option to define a parameter for distorting a plane side. I would see it similar to the object class like we have it now with "bottom". So for example one would put a shape that would pull outside or push inside the plane area it sits on. Object size and shape would define area affected by distortion, together with a threshold parameter. So for example a…
